Monty brings over 30 years of experience as a Senior IT and operations executive with demonstrated leadership experience including 13 years as CIO at Fortune 500 companies and 13 years of consulting experience. He has strong experience in insurance, financial services, marketing services and consulting companies. He has managed through periods of rapid change in Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial environments, both in high-growth and turnaround situations. He’s an extremely effective strategic leader and change agent, who thrives on identifying and orchestrating innovative solutions to complex business challenges. He also possesses particular expertise and experience in program management of Guidewire InsuranceSuite, implementations, business transformation initiatives and aligning problematic and underperforming operations and IT organizations.

Joel brings over 20 years of diverse information technology experience, including CIO and senior executive level positions for top financial, transportation and insurance providers. He has effectively managed enterprise systems conversion projects, web portal integration, operation planning and budgeting and offshore developer resources. Joel’s strategic vision and ability to manage the design, implementation and execution of mission-critical systems was recognized by CIO Magazine, and he was awarded the “CIO 100 Award for Sustainable Innovation.” He is a dynamic leader, able to balance strategic initiatives across business lines while achieving exceptional financial results.

He has deep experience in building and executing strategic growth programs. He has a strong network of relationships in the consulting and outsourcing industries and an impressive track record of success building and running technology practices (project management, software development, and quality assurance), channel sales and marketing programs. He is highly skilled at working in a complex global environment, bringing together people and solutions, within a unified strategic framework, to meet or exceed sales and delivery objectives.
Jim Smith

Jim has spent the last 20 years building Technology Consulting Firms. His core expertise is in business development and sales, but his leadership experience covers a broad spectrum of capabilities, from sales and recruiting to operations and delivery.
Jim has spent the last 10 years working in the Property and Casualty industry, focusing on providing best-in-class Guidewire solutions. Prior to his work in insurance, he built two consulting firms that delivered ERP solutions focusing on Peoplesoft and Oracle platforms.
He graduated from Miami University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics.
John Worthington
John WorthingtonManaging Director - Upgrade Practice Director
John possesses over 25 years of Information Technology experience, including nine years at Guidewire Software, leading multiple successful implementation and upgrade engagements, as well as managing the Guidewire InsuranceSuite™ 8.0 Early Upgrade Program. John’s leadership led to the first-ever Guidewire InsuranceSuite Upgrade into a Production environment.
With his extensive Guidewire leadership and experience, John has been privileged to speak multiple times on the topic of Guidewire Upgrades at Guidewire’s Annual Connections User Conference.
John holds an MBA from Alaska Pacific University, leads Blackcomb’s Guidewire Upgrade practice, and participates as one of Blackcomb’s key Guidewire Architects.
Francois Gravel

Francois Gravel is an experienced, hands-on application architect focusing on the implementation and deployment of Guidewire software. He brings over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Since 2005, Francois has been serving on Guidewire implementations projects, including some of the largest deployments, where he has been providing technical leadership.
Francois received his Bachelors in Computer Science in 1996, and holds technical certifications for Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Amazon AWS and Java.
Shridhar Bharthulwar
Shridhar BharthulwarPractice Director
Shridhar has an extensive background in the technology and consulting industry with 20+ years of experience, most recently in the P&C insurance industry. He had led multiple technology teams at companies such as EMC and HP in software product development before joining Guidewire Software as a senior architect. His insurance industry experience spans across a decade in management and technology consulting. While at EY and PwC, Shridhar helped P&C insurance carriers of various sizes with their critical technology and business transformation initiatives around the Guidewire platform. He received his Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and MBA from University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Shridhar has received six US patents for innovations in the technology space and is a regular speaker at local startup events.
Karthik Krishnan
Karthik KrishnanManager, Production Support
Karthik possesses over 13 years of experience in Information Technology with proven track record of technical leadership, project management and delivery excellence across technologies, primarily Guidewire. He has been a part of many successful implementations, upgrades and production support engagements for leading Guidewire insurance clients. He specializes in driving complex projects using Agile practice with diverse and challenging technical teams across the globe. Being a Guidewire Partner Consultant, he brings in the knowledge of bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions. His extensive and in-depth service industry knowledge enables Blackcomb to leverage and provide tailor-made solutions for key clients.
Over the years, Karthik’s international client experience spans across the US, Australia and India, with many accolades and strong customer relationships. His mantra to success is 3C’s – Commitment, Communication and Collaboration. Karthik leads the Blackcomb Development Center in Texas. He also heads Blackcomb’s Production Support practice on Guidewire Suite.
Tammy Tatro

Tammy Tatro has over 18 years of experience in Property and Casualty Insurance, specializing in leading companies through major transformations. She is a certified Business Process Management Professional, specializing in aligning business operations with company strategy. She has an extensive background in the areas of insurance operations, project management, and IT governance and business support.
Tammy has assisted companies with multi-system replacement projects by focusing on the impact of organizational change and assuring readiness of the staff. Successful management of communications, business process redesign, job impact analysis, and training are the keys to her success. Her deep experience with Guidewire, Image Right, OnBase, and Thunderhead aids organizations in gaining the highest return on investment by implementing and realizing significant efficiencies in work processes.
In recent years, her accomplishments were featured in ITA Pro magazine. She has also been a keynote speaker at Guidewire Connections several times.

Sandra brings 7+ years of experience in human resources, policy development and recruitment, working for organizations a number of industries, including but not limited to education, financial services and technology.
Sandra’s accomplishments include comprehensive policy development and implementation, developing and implementing innovative HR strategies, building strong employee relations and partnership programs, and driving highly effective talent acquisition and recruitment programs, producing top quality candidates. Sandra graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration and has earned a Professional in Human Resources (PHR certification).

His experience at several P&C carriers includes the role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with extensive experience reporting to Boards of Directors and Executive Leadership teams.
